Amber Jewellery
My sister went to Prague last year for her & her husband's 25th wedding anniversary, she stayed in an amazing hotel in the ony room they have that has a balcony over looking the main square. She commented that although it was quiet in the evening, it was fairly noisy during the early morning rush hour. She brought some gifts back for all of the family, and for me she bought a beautiful amber costume jewellery pendant in the shape of a heart, it has a silver frame and silver chain. It hand just below the collar bone and looks amazingly clear. She bought herself something simalar so i need to be weary about wearing it when we go out together, dont want to look like we are matching clothes!! To be honest I have not worn the necklace yet, but given that I am moving thousands of miles away it's nice to have something that she bought me. I am moving on 24th July to Qatar where my other half is currently working, although thats another story for another day.
Crystal Jewellery
So, Swarovski, is it not the most exquisite crystal jewellery ever.
Last year, 2009, my husband was in Doha at a job interview on 27th May, which just so happens to be my birthday, now I can understand that with everything going on he actually managed to forget!! but you would think that when I called him, the penny would have dropped the second he heard my voice.. but no, I actually had to say the words.."today is my birthday". I cannot repeat his response, but needless to say neither event impressed me. So we now leap forward a full 12 months, and 27th may was fast approaching,..... we need to back up a bit here so I can explain our current living arrangements... I live in the Uk & my nearest & dearest lives in Doha (Qatar)... so anyways, we are due to meet in the UK on 15th May to start a 2 week holiday. I remind him (on 14th) that he needs to ensure that nothing.. & i mean absolutely nothing.. gets in the way of him getting me a birthday present this year. My comments were met with a deathly silence! I know, as most women would, that he had actually NOT got anything for me, and he is due to fly out the very next morning, early hours before any shops would be open. You can all see where this is going now huh!! Swarovski, which is not the cheapest costume jewellery crystal around, has a wonderful collection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets at the duty-free shops in... you've guessed it.....Doha international airport! Now we don't usually make a big fuss over birthday pressie, just a little especially chosen gift that lets the other one know "I love you". Well, on this particular birthday I got a big especially pressie from Swarovski - that said "I love you" "I am sorry I forgot your birthday" and a whole lot more!
